Families and mixed-age teams solve fun maths challenges at checkpoints while navigating a course. A perfect mix of movement, problem-solving, and teamwork for a half-day of outdoor activity.

What It Is
Mathematical Orienteering is a team-based navigation challenge where families follow a course using maps and clues. At each checkpoint, teams encounter hands-on maths tasks that must be solved to earn points or unlock the next clue.
It is designed for mixed-age teams, ensuring younger children, older kids, and adults all have meaningful roles—whether reading a map, solving a puzzle, estimating distances, or keeping track of time and strategy.
How It Works
Families form groups of 3–6 participants. Multigenerational teams are encouraged, and each member is given a role: navigator, clue reader, recorder, timekeeper, or puzzle-solver. After a start briefing, a team receives a simple map or route diagram, a clue sheet, and a scorecard.
