Travel back in time through rhythm and movement.

Medieval Dances is an experiential workshop exploring two iconic and evocative dances of the past: the mysterious Schiarazula Marazula and the vibrant Tourdion. Through these traditions, we reconnect with the physicality and communal spirit of historical music-making.

In this session, the body becomes the primary instrument. We will:

  • Explore body percussion, feeling rhythm as a shared, living pulse.
  •
  • Engage in movement, rediscovering gestures and patterns rooted in historical dance.
  •
  • Work with simple instruments, adding layers of texture and atmosphere to the collective sound.

The workshop also opens space for collective improvisation, creating a bridge between past and present. Musicians are warmly invited to bring their own instruments and become part of this shared exploration.

Together, we transform ancient forms into a living, playful experience—where rhythm is felt, movement is free, and music emerges from within the group.

Practical note: If you are bringing an instrument, please indicate which one in the registration form.

Participation note: Parents presence is not required.
