This birdwatching walk leads participants into the protected wetlands of Flachsee, a landscape rich with migratory species and shifting autumn soundscapes. The experience unfolds over three to four hours and begins with a friendly gathering at the meeting point, where binoculars are distributed and adjusted, and playful bird-bingo cards are introduced. From there, the group follows an easy, well-marked route through several distinct habitats, pausing frequently to observe, listen, and learn. A visit to a sheltered hide offers a comfortable vantage point for watching waterfowl and quieter marsh life, while gentle guidance helps everyone attune to field marks, calls, and behavior.
The walk loops back to the starting area, where picnic supplies await! An informal meal near a designated fire spot provides space to rest, chat, and compare sightings, and brings the morning to a warm close.
